Nella Pizza e Pasta is an authentic Italian restaurant in Chicago’s Hyde Park. They are know for their wood-fired pizza, pastas, and Italian sandwiches.
According to their website, their ingredients are imported straight from Napoli. Their San Marzano tomatoes grew in the volcanic earth at the base of Mount Vesuvius and D.O.P. Mozzarella di Buffala. San Marzano tomatoes are richer and creamier than anything found in the U.S. They make their dough by hand, every day, tweaking the recipe on a daily basis so that their dough bakes perfectly in the 1,000° wood-fired oven, no matter what the weather outside is doing.
Nella Pizza e Pasta Hyde Park is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week on the University of Chicago campus.
